Business Developer Onboarding Program

1 Purpose
This onboarding program equips new Business Developers (BDs) with the knowledge, tools, and relationships needed to become productive brand ambassadors within their first 90 days. It complements the Code of Ethics for Business Developers and aligns with DHH’s commitment to service excellence.
2 Learning Objectives
By the end of onboarding, you will be able to:
- Explain DHH’s history, culture, and organisational structure.
- Navigate core processes across all DHH branches and departments.
- Operate key software platforms (HubSpot, Owner’s Portal, PMS, Forecasting Tool).
- Articulate the Management & Interior Design Agreements to prospects confidently.
- Deliver accurate forecasts and proposals to landlords.
- Onboard at least one property end‑to‑end in HubSpot and the PMS.

4 Module Breakdown
4.1 Company & Processes (Week 1)
- Corporate Heritage: 2‑hr workshop covering DHH founding story, growth milestones, and brand values.

- Main HQ (Dubai): Finance, HR, Marketing, BD floorwalk.
- Customer support : Observe inbound booking operations.
- Warehouses (Dubai Industrial City): Inventory control and linen flow.
- Department Deep Dive: 15‑min lightning talks by each HOD—Reservations, Customer Service, Owner Support, Interior Design & Onboarding, Maintenance.
- Management & Interior Design Agreements: Guided reading session with Commercial Director. Complete “policy gap” worksheet; schedule Q&A with Legal for unclear clauses.
- Interior Design & Onboarding Function: Shadow an ID&O coordinator through a live fit‑out walkthrough (fully furnished vs semi‑furnished cases).
4.2 Learn & Master Tools (Weeks 2‑3)

- BD Pipeline stages explained (Lead → Qualified → Proposal → Negotiation → Won/Lost).
- Hands‑on: create test deals, log calls, automate follow‑ups.

Owner’s Portal
- Demo environment: explore revenue dashboards, statement downloads, maintenance tickets.
- Exercise: produce a mock owner statement and identify key metrics.

Forecasting Tool
- Purpose: rent‑rate projections and occupancy modelling.
- Task: prepare a 12‑month forecast for a sample one‑bedroom apartment.

- Access granted post‑first property win.
- Training covers rate plans, calendar sync, and channel manager basics.

- Mock Pitch: Role‑play a landlord meeting; score ≥ 70/100 required.
- First Property Win (By Week 8): Submit signed agreements, upload property files, schedule photoshoot.
