PURPOSE

SCOPE

This policy applies to all members responsible for managing and optimizing property listings for search engine optimization (SEO) and online visibility across various platforms, including websites, online marketplaces, and booking platforms.

DEFINITIONS

Term Description
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) The process of optimizing website content and structure to improve visibility and ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs).
Keywords Specific words or phrases relevant to the property and target audience, used to optimize content for search engines.
Online Visibility The extent to which property listings are visible and accessible to potential guests across online platforms, including search engines and social media.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible Description
Listing Team Responsible for overseeing the implementation of SEO strategies and ensuring compliance with this policy.
Digital Marketing Team Responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies to improve the visibility of property listings in search engine results.
Content Writers Responsible for creating SEO-friendly property descriptions and content to enhance organic search visibility.

POLICY

  1. Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords and phrases related to the properties, location, amenities, and target audience.
  2. Content Optimization: Incorporate targeted keywords naturally into property descriptions, titles, headings, and metadata to improve search engine visibility.
  3. Website Optimization: Ensure website structure, navigation, and internal linking are optimized for search engines to crawl and index property listings effectively.
  4. Image Optimization: Optimize image filenames, alt text, and descriptions to improve visibility in image search results.
  5. Local SEO: Optimize property listings for local search by including location-specific keywords and ensuring consistency across local directories and platforms.
  6. Link Building: Develop a strategy to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable websites to improve domain authority and search engine ranking.
  7. Monitoring and Analysis: Regularly monitor search engine rankings, organic traffic, and user engagement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of SEO efforts and make data-driven optimizations.
